  • Photos or images you upload (except for processing on your device)

  • Payment information (if the app is free or uses in-app purchases through Apple)

2. How the App Works (Local Processing)

Image-to-Palette Feature

When you use the color palette generator feature with an uploaded image:

  • The image is processed only on your device (locally)

  • The image is not sent to any external server

  • The image is not stored anywhere after processing

  • The image remains entirely under your control

  • Once you close the app or clear the data, the image is no longer accessible

Color Palette Generation

  • Color palettes are generated locally on your device

  • Palettes are stored in the app's local storage on your device

  • Palettes are not automatically synced to any cloud service

  • You maintain full control over your palette data

Brand Kit Creation

  • Brand kits are created and stored locally on your device

  • No data is transmitted to external servers

  • Your brand identity information remains private and on your device

3. Data Processing

What Happens to Your Images

  1. Upload: You select or capture an image on your device

  2. Analysis: The image is analyzed locally using color extraction algorithms

  3. Generation: Color palettes are generated from the image on your device

  4. Storage: Generated palettes are stored locally in the app

  5. Deletion: Images are NOT permanently stored and are cleared from memory after processing

What Happens to Your Palettes

  1. Creation: Palettes are created and stored in your device's app sandbox

  2. Management: You can edit, organize, and manage palettes within the app

  3. Export: You can export palettes in various formats (JSON, CSV, hex codes, etc.) directly to your device

  4. Deletion: You can delete palettes at any time, and they are permanently removed from your device

4. Data Retention

  • Images: Not retained. Images are processed in-memory and are not saved to your device

  • Generated Palettes: Retained in the app's local storage only while you choose to keep them

  • User Data: No user data is collected or retained

  • App Settings: Only your local app preferences (such as UI preferences) may be stored locally on your device

You can delete all app data by:

  1. Deleting the app from your device, or

  2. Going to Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Dot Palette > Offload App (which keeps data) or Delete App (which removes all data)

5. Third-Party Services

Our App does NOT use any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services.

Specifically, we do NOT use:

  • Google Analytics

  • Firebase Analytics

  • Facebook SDK

  • Advertising networks

  • Crash reporting services that collect personal data

  • Cloud storage services for user data

What IS Used (No Personal Data Collected)

If the app uses any third-party libraries for core functionality (such as image processing), these libraries:

  • Perform their functions entirely on your device

  • Do not collect or transmit any personal information

  • Do not require internet connectivity for processing

Dot Palette does not require internet connectivity for core features including:

  • Color palette generation from images

  • Brand kit creation and management

  • Palette customization and editing

  • Local storage and organization

The app operates fully offline for all essential functions.

When Internet May Be Used (Optional)

  • App updates from the App Store

  • Help/documentation links (if included)

  • Sharing features (using your device's native sharing)

  • Optional cloud backup features (if implemented in future versions)

7. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do NOT share any user data with:

  • Third-party companies or service providers

  • Advertising networks

  • Analytics providers

  • Social media companies

  • Government agencies or law enforcement (unless required by law, which is not applicable here as we don't collect data)
