Licence Agreement

When you pay for a licence we give you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide, perpetual licence to install and use the software, subject to these terms. You are buying a licence to use the software, not the software itself.

What the licence covers

• Single-user licence: one named person, on up to 2 computers that the same person uses, Mac or Windows.
• Team licence: the number of seats shown on your receipt, inside one business, on up to 2 computers per seat.
• A team licence covers only people inside the business that bought it. It does not cover contractors, students or clients working outside that business.

What you can do

• Use it for personal and commercial work, including client projects, films, music videos, advertising, weddings, events, YouTube, social media, broadcast and streaming.
• Sell, publish and broadcast the images and videos you grade with it. Your finished work belongs to you. No credit is needed, though it is always appreciated.
• Make backup copies for your own use, save your own grades as PowerGrades, and create LUTs with the LUT Generator for your own projects.
• Give a project file or a graded render to a client or collaborator, as long as you do not include the software files themselves.

What you cannot do

• Share, resell, rent, lend, sublicense, give away or publish the software or any part of it, including the DCTL files, the included LUTs and any LUTs you create with the LUT Generator.
• Upload it to file-sharing sites, torrent sites, public cloud folders, chat groups, marketplaces or anywhere else other people can get it.
• Include it, or any LUT, preset, look or code from it, in another product — whether free or paid.
• Use the code, looks or LUTs to build a product that competes with CasualDotLook.
• Remove or change any copyright notices, licence notices or branding in the files.

Ownership

We own the software and all copyright and other intellectual property in it. This agreement gives you only the licence described above. We keep all rights we do not give you in writing.
