Privacy Policy
What we collect, who we share it with, and how to ask us to change or delete it.
Version 1.0 · Effective 21 October 2026 · CasualDot, ABN 42 270 536 002This policy explains what CasualDot (Shahrukh Aqiq, ABN 42 270 536 002) does with your personal information. We do not sell, rent or trade it.
What we collect
- Order details: your name, email address, billing details and what you bought.
- Support emails you send us, and our replies.
- Basic website analytics, such as which pages were visited.
Who we share it with
Only with services that help us run the business, and only as much as they need:
- Payment provider: Shopify Payments
- Website, store and file hosting: Shopify
- Email provider: Google Workspace
- Our accountant or tax adviser, and government authorities when the law requires it
Some of these providers store data outside Australia, for example in the United States or the European Union. We choose providers that protect personal information to a standard similar to Australian privacy law.
How long we keep it, and how we protect it
- We keep order and tax records for at least 5 years, because Australian tax law requires it. We keep support emails for as long as we need them to help you.
- We keep information in password-protected accounts with two-factor sign-in where it is available. No system is perfectly secure. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you.
The software itself
CasualDotLook works fully offline and collects no data. It does not phone home, and it does not send us anything about you or your projects.
Cookies and analytics
Our website may use cookies and analytics tools, for example Shopify analytics, to work properly and to understand how visitors use it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the checkout may not work without them.
Your choices and rights
- You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We may need to keep some records, such as tax records, for as long as the law requires.
- If you live in the EU or UK you also have the rights given by the GDPR and UK GDPR, including the rights to object, to restrict processing and to data portability. Our legal bases are contract, legal obligation, legitimate interests and consent.
- To make a request or a complaint, email shahrukh@casualdot.com. We will reply within 30 days.
- If you are not happy with our reply you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) or, in the EU or UK, your local data protection authority.
